I’m so happy you’re here. Mental health therapy is a space to hit the pause button in life and dig through what feels stressful, painful, or overwhelming. It can also be a place to find joy and seek what makes you feel fulfilled.
Therapy can be helpful to explore and tackle obstacles that life throws at us; whether it’s in our relationships, career changes, identity exploration, or we’re feeling burnt out and unsure why or where it’s coming from.

My name is Melisa, my pronouns are she/her, and I provide remote, telehealth therapy to individuals in California. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a Master’s degree in Psychology in 2019 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2023. I have been practicing for 7 years and enjoy working through the lens of CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy. I believe everyone has a story and the narrative we tell ourselves shapes how view ourselves and the world around us. I have a passion working with the LGBTQ+ community, those struggling with immigration/acculturation issues, and folks who would simply like to break through generational cycles that no longer serve them.
Services
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is comprised of a weekly 50 minute session. During this time, I let you take the lead on issues you want to process and support you by encouraging self-reflection. I also actively encourage you to practice self-care and healthy ways of coping. Talking about difficult subjects and emotions may result in feeling raw or vulnerable towards the end of session. Taking care of yourself after each session is strongly encouraged!
Fees/Insurance
My current fee for individual therapy is $210 per session.
I do not currently take insurance but I can create a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
I offer a sliding scale fee for a limited amount of slots. Please ask about my sliding scale fee if finances are a barrier.
